Exhibition mine & school field trip

Your group can comfortably travel to Bestwig by train. From the station it's a one and a half hour hike to the exhibition mine and museum in Ramsbeck. To make sure you can easily find us, we will provide you with a map with the route beforehand. When you have arrived, you will be driven 1.5 km into the mine with our mine train, where your group will be able to learn about the miners' difficult work. Afterwards, you will hear about the history of the "unfortunate" Dörnberg and the "fortunate" Bastenberg in a DVD screening. This will surely leave you eager to explore the museum yourself. After your visit you will be taken back to Bestwig by bus.

For an upcharge, your group can also go by bus on both ways.

Included: Admission to the museum and mine, a map with the hiking route marked, the bus ride back to the Bestwig train station

Price for the Joint Ticket (exhibition mine & field trip):
Pupils: 7.50 Euro
Adults: 9.50 Euro
For every 10 pupils, 1 adult gets free admission.
(Minimum group size: 20 people; ask for prices for smaller groups)
