Exhibition mine & mountain convent

The mountain convent Bestwig is the mother house of the "Schwestern der hl. Maria Magdalena Postel" (Sisters of Saint Mary Magdalene Postel) . It is about 6 kilometres away from the exhibition mine. During a guided tour of the convent you will learn more about the founder of the order, Maria Magdalena Postel, about the spirituality of the community and the nuns' numerous activities in Germany, Bolivia, Brasil, Mosambique and Rumania. You will also be able to shop in the convent's fair-trade store.
